Low-mass members of nearby young stellar moving groups from Gaia EDR3

چکیده
Gaia EDR3 offers greatly improved kinematics for nearby objects, including members of young stellar moving groups (NYMGs). In this study, we aim to identify low-mass NYMG (spectral types M0 mid-L) in EDR3. We calculated spatio-kinematic membership probabilities utilising a Bayesian probability calculation scheme developed our previous study. evaluated youth primarily based on colour-magnitude diagram positions. Combining assessment and evaluation, identified ~2900 candidate ~700 previously claimed members. the set ~2200 new members, ~550 appear be NUV brightness. Our pilot spectroscopic study with WiFeS ANU 2.3-m telescope observed 78 candidates, 79 per cent confirmed as Using member sample, estimated an isochronal age beta-Pictoris Moving Group. The mean (~10 Myr), which is around half recent estimates, suggests either truly younger Group or inaccuracies contemporary isochrones. As main results provide lists newly

Evolution of Dusty Disks in Nearby Young Stellar Groups
Given their proximity and age differences, nearby groups of young stars are valuable laboratories for investigations of disk evolution and diversity. The estimated 10-Myr age of groups like the TW Hydrae Association provides a strong constraint on disk evolution timescales and fills a significant gap in the age sequence between 1-Myr-old T Tauri stars in molecular clouds and 50-Myr-old nearby o...
متن کاملStellar Atmospheres of Nearby Young Solar Analogs
High-resolution (R ≈ 90, 000) spectra of 34 nearby, young Sun-like stars were analyzed using stellar atmosphere models to estimate effective photosphere temperatures, surface gravities, and the abundance of certain heavy elements (C, Na, Mg, Si, S, Ca, Ti, Fe, and Ni). The effective temperatures derived from spectroscopy were compared with temperatures estimated using optical and near-infrared ...
متن کاملEmpirical Isochrones for Low Mass Stars in Nearby Young Associations
Absolute ages of young stars are important for many issues in pre-main sequence stellar and circumstellar evolution but are long recognized as difficult to derive and calibrate. In this paper, we use literature spectral types and photometry to construct empirical isochrones in HR diagrams for low-mass stars and brown dwarfs in the η Cha, ǫ Cha, and TW Hya Associations and the β Pic and Tuc-Hor ...
متن کاملSolid CO2 in low-mass young stellar objects
Context. Solid interstellar CO2 is an abundant component of ice dust mantles. Its ubiquity towards quiescent molecular clouds, as well as protostellar envelopes, has recently been confirmed by the IRS (InfraRed Spectrograph) aboard the Spitzer Space Telescope. Although it has been shown that CO2 cannot be efficiently formed in the gas phase, the CO2 surface formation pathway is still unclear. T...
متن کاملThe Stellar Populations of dSph Galaxies in Nearby Groups
In this contribution initial results are presented from a program to study in detail the stellar populations of dwarf Spheriodal (dSph) galaxies in three nearby groups. The long-term aim of the program is to assess the influence of environment in governing the evolution of these low-luminosity systems. Specific results described here include the detection and measurement of intermediate-age upp...
